The Pastor's Vision

Pastor's Vision for the Church

My vision for High Rock Baptist Church, through divine revelation, is that we will become the church that God is looking for in these last and evil days. As stated in the book of Ephesians Chapter 5 verses 25-27:

25. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26. That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. The King James Version, (Cambridge:Cambridge) 1769.

I believe this can be accomplished in three steps: Preaching, Teaching, and Practice of God's Word. First preaching, because it is by the foolishness of preaching that man shall be saved, as it is written in Corinthians Chapter 21 verse 1:

1. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. The King James Version, (Cambridge:Cambridge) 1769.

Teaching because we should study to show ourselves approved, as stated in the second letter to Timothy Chapter 2 verse 14:

14. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The King James Version, (Cambridge:Cambridge) 1769.

Finally, practice because we should let our light shine. The sixteenth verse of the fifth Chapter of Matthew reads:

16. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. The King James Version, (Cambridge:Cambridge) 1769.

We at the High Rock Baptist Church are moving forward in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in the belief that we are all somebody in God's house, knowing that we are all a part of the body of Christ and each part having its own purpose, and all therein are equal in the sight of God. We are working to involve our youth in all aspects of the workings of the church and invite all who wish to worship with us to come in and help us to glorify the name of God.
